Health Inequalities Research Capacity and Capability Programme 2025
One of our team Lauren Wyatt (Co-production Coordinator/co-researcher) has recently completed the Health Inequalities Research Capacity and Capability Programme. The programme is led by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, the HDRC team, NHS R&D NW and Lancaster University academics. A main part of the programme was working as part of a small research group to construct a research proposal, our group focused on co-productive methods in children’s social care system design. Within this programme Lauren developed skills in literature reviews, developing a question and presenting a proposal as well as getting an honorary researcher contract with Lancaster University . The Programme’s aim is to support VCFSE, public health and local authority professionals to develop their capacity and capability to use and deliver health inequalities research within their roles, with and for local communities and there is going to be another cohort starting soon, which some of our co-researchers will be a part of!
